Per fer aquesta conversió indicada amb punts suspensius aplicarem:

1) Es pot intercanviar files sense cap problema.

2) Es pot multiplicar les files per un nombre diferent de zero.

3) A tota fila es pot sumar una altra multiplicada per un nombre.

Estratègia habitual:

a) S'ha de fer zeros sota la diagonal.

b) intentem deixar uns a la diagonal.

c) continuar fent zeros sobre la diagonal.

=== El rang ===

El rang d'una matriu ens informa de quanta informació útil es disposa. El mètode general es fer zeros zota la diagonal de la matriu intentant sobrepassar-la fins que no es pugui més, llavors el rang de la matriu serà la quantitat de files no nules que han quedat. L'objectiu es que sota el primer terme de cada fila tot sigui zero.

=== Determinant ===

El determinant és un mètode que permet mesurar la informació redundant dins d'una matriu quadrada nxn exclusivament. Amb aquest objectiu podem obtenir tres lleis que afecten a files i columnes a l'interior de la matriu:<ref>Aquestes propietats equivalen a dos de les tres condicions teòriques amb les que realment s'ha construït el '''determinant''' quedant així una idea més natural que els alumnes es poden trobar al batxillerat.</ref>

:1) Volem sumar o restar unes files a unes altres sense que es modifiqui el determinat, el mateix ha de succeir entre columnes.

:2) Volem intercanviar files sense que es modifiqui en termes absoluts el determinat, el mateix ha de succeir entre columnes.

:3) Tenir una fila de zeros equival a un determinant igual a zero, el mateix ha de succeir si tenim una columna de zeros.

Tot això es va conseguir, però al punt 2 s'ha observat un canvi de signe quan intercanvies l'ordre dues files o columnes.

==== Determinant de matrius 2x2 ====
